Very creative with strong characters. Some violence, but clean. Thought I was reading a Brandon Sanderson book. No characters off limit and not predictable.
The Next Brandon Sanderson
Excellent job creating characters. Very unpredictable. Some violence due to wars. Hard to believe a 17 year old wrote this book. One of the best I have ever read.
Who Will Be Your Hero?
I was very impressed with the storyline. His vocabulary is great. He makes you feel like you are right there in the story with them. I felt like I was Cadora myself and that I lived her experiences. I liked that it was clean, exciting, and once I started reading I couldn’t put it down. I have read it twice.
Hard to put this book down… Thoroughly enjoyed!
Enjoyed it a great deal. Hoping he writes a series. So much action and a creative world. I did not want it to end.
Hoping he writers a series.
This book holds the promise of a series. The author has skill in real world-building and great characterization. While more of my favorite characters died than I would have liked, what is left has potential to go far. Walking in the path of Christopher Paolini, Hughes shows promise and future in the writing world. This novel walks the line between fantasy and sci-go with the best of both genres. I can’t wait to read more.
A promising first novel
Dip into the vast literary canon of fiction with the work of Carson Zan Hughes. There’s no end to the imagination and novelty channelled into his larger-than-life fantasy world.
